Will I Lose My License?

Hey so im 18 and in Georgia. Just wondering if im going to lose my license and if so for how long. One day it was raining and i was driving my truck with pretty slick tires. Its a manual transmission. I was at a light and turning left. there were gtwo left hand turn lanes and i was in the one on the right. There was a gas station not too far down the road so i was trying to speed up and get around the turn before the car on the left so i could get in the lane he was in and turn into the gas station. the light turned green so i hit the gas and the tires spun so i put the clutch in and put it in second and it caught and pulled me forward fast, so i freaked and turned the wheel causing the rear to lose traction and slide out. i saved it and made it around the turn without wrecking or anything. a cop saw it and pulled me over. i told the officer what happened and he gave me two tickets. one for failure to maintain lane and one for exhibition of acceleration. i have court may 5th and am really nervous. i have written an apology letter to the court/judge, signed up for a defensive driving class, and my father is going to write a note telling the judge the punishment he has already given me which is he took my license until the fall when i go off to my freshman year at college. i am extremely nervous about losing my license considering i don't want to have to go through my first year of college without a drivers license. i just want to know what my chances are of losing or not losing my license/ any help is appreciated.
