2004 Chevy Monte carlo question?

my '04 Monte carlo has a traction control system. For some reason though, just recently, whenever I make a sharp turn or start driving early in the morning it will turn off periodically and the "check abs/traction control system" light comes on. I noticed this happening after I switched the traction off when i was "peeling out" at a few stop lights about a week ago. since then, i have been having this issue
