Can i get rid of a MTS snail infestation ... i dried my soil substrate?

36 hours since i heatdried my substrate a di collected a coulpe of adult snail shell and put them in water and freaking hell they are all alive!! how can this bee i read somewhere that they can survive for more than 6 months in dry conditions.. O_O what the hell how can i remove them! i can't get any assassin snails not available here and sids loaches are too expensive :'(
